Club Welfare Officer

I am Pete Reynolds and very proud to hold the office of Club Welfare Officer at Eynsham Association Football Club. I have a son who plays for the club and wanted to get involved with supporting the wider Eynsham AFC committee and youth football teams. I am always happy to answer any question related to safeguarding, or listen to any concerns you have from training or matches home or away. CWO Responsibilities

1) To be clear about the club's responsibilities when running activities for children and young people.

​

2) To help club personnel understand what their ‘duty of care’ towards children and young people actually means and entails on a day-to-day basis.

​

Our Club Welfare will ensure policies are in place that protect young people,, that there is an understanding of Safeguarding and procedures to follow. The officer will communicate with all stakeholders about Safeguarding attending county welfare meetings, carry out DBS checks, be an advocate for the Respect program as well as monitor/ investigate any incidents and ensure compliance with the Football Association.
